Magnesium sulfate is a valuable source of sulfur and magnesium. It is especially effective for crops that are acutely deficient in these elements for their full development. The fertilizer affects both the yield of agricultural plants in general and their quality indicators – the content of proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, etc. Magnesium plays a crucial role in the photosynthesis process, as it is the main reaction nucleus.
It also participates in all stages of protein synthesis and controls the process of water absorption by the root system. Sulfur plays an important role in the proper growth and yield of plants. A lack of sulfur leads to a slowdown in the activity of biological processes that occur during the plant’s growing season.
It is an integral part of the protein synthesis process. Today’s realities dictate that it is not enough to grow a high yield – we also need to take care of its quality. In addition, when fertilizing crops, we take into account not only the level of nutrient absorption, but also try to create a whole nutrition system. It should be based on a balanced ratio of macro- and microelements, and provide the plant with nutrition during critical phases of development.
Due to the fact that Magnesium Sulfate Crystalline Concentrated contains magnesium and sulfur in a water-soluble form, this fertilizer is quickly absorbed by plants. Even at low temperatures, magnesium and sulfur molecules penetrate deep into the leaf surface.
Magnesium sulfate can be used as a standalone fertilizer or in combination with other fertilizers and plant protection products. When used simultaneously with urea, it significantly reduces the risk of burns in plants, as it neutralizes the harmful effects of biuret.
Granular magnesium sulfate can be applied at the main stages of soil cultivation: before plowing, cultivation, moisture closure, both before sowing and after germination in winter and spring crops.
